Now in a position to claim the title as the best welterweight in the world, watch for the fall to see if the "Tijuana Tornado" avenges his loss to Paul Williams to unify the WBA and WBO titles or baites the "Golden Boy" to keep his word on a promise he made years ago.

2. Danny Perez (33-5, 17KO) :: After a long two year long layoff, the former top ten Ring Magazine ranked Perez returns to the ring in his adopted hometown of San Diego. With a new trainer and team, Danny now campaigs in the super welterweight division and has vowed to earn a title opportunity and make good on it this time. Watch as "Dynamite" gets ready to explode and make his local following proud.

3. Omar Salado (19-1-2, 11KO) :: Ranked #6 by the WBC as a flyweight, Salado has made a name for himself four pounds lighter. As a light flyweight Omar has challenged for the IBF title battling long time belt holder Ulises Solis to a draw in '06. With his first loss coming in his last fight against Julio Cesar Miranda, it is a given that Salado will not be deterred in his quest for a world title.

4. Juan Carlos Burgos (19-0, 14KO) :: Known as "Miniburgos," Juan Carlos carries the name with pride as it ties him with his famed uncle Victor Burgos, former minimumweight IBF champ. But the younger Burgos has made a name for himself all on his own. Learning his trade at Roberto Sandoval's famed Azteca Gym, the hard hitting Burgos captured the WBC Continental Americas Interim featherweight title in late '06.

5. Antonio Demarco(19-1-1, 13KO) :: Ranked n the top twenty within all the sanctioning bodies, lightweight DeMarco is known as a tall lanky hard hitting brawler. Under the tutelage of legendary trainer Romulo Quirarte, DeMarco has been featured a number of times on national broadcasts. Antonio has all the makings to be the next in a long line of great Tijuana warriors

6. Pavel Miranda(16-2, 8KO) ::Pavel, Juan Carlos' stable mate at the Azteca Gym has emerged as one of the best young prospects out of Tijuana. Equipped with solid boxing skills and a determined demeanor, Miranda holds not one but two titles, the WBC CABOFE and the WBC Youth light welterweight titles.

7. Ernest Johnson (18-2-1, 7KO) :: The amateur standout is known as "Too Slick" which describes his fighting style, quick, elusive and smooth. Although with above average hand speed and technical know how, the 140 lbs. Johnson is not afraid to trade with the best of them which made him an atractive prospect for Chargrin Promotions to recently sign. Johnson is back from a shoulder injury that derailed his career slightly after challenging for the state title.

8. Christopher Martin (11-0-1, 2KO) :: Backed with an excellent amatuer career, Martin has lighted up the local super bantamweight division besting all those he has faced. Martin is a relatively newcomer to the bang for bucks trade but has garnered substantial enough attention to make him one of the most talked about local prospects.

9. Emilio Bojorquez (10-1, 8KO) :: This 20 year old super featherweight has all the tools of a future world champion. A higly decorated amateur, Bojorquez joined the pro ranks two years ago leaving a 95-7, 35KO amateur ledger behind. With a hard punching style, strong chin and above average boxing skills as well as the lessons from Pedro Moran Sr., ensures that we have "El Consentido de Tijuana" (Tijuana's favorite) for many years to come.

10. Antonio Lozada Jr. (16-0, 16KO) :: Lozada Jr. holds an impressive sixteen fight undefeated streak with all of them inside the distance, fourteen of which in the first round. The only reason Lozada Jr. is not ranked higher is because his victims have been less than stellar. Now that "Canitas" has started to fight in scheduled ten round bouts, we are sure that he will step up the competion.
