On the untelevised fight card of the ShowBox:Next Generation broadcast, Tijuana's jr. welterweight Pavel Miranda suffered a devastating loss in his biggest challenge to date.

 

Facing Washington D.C.'s undefeated Ty Barnett at the Royal Watler Cruise Terminal in Georgetown, Miranda was dropped by a hard hit left hook to the body which SDFights.com ranked #5 Miranda was not able to recuperate from.

 

Miranda who is promoted by southern California's Thompson Boxing, did not have either one of his titles on the line. Miranda holds both the WBC CABOFE and WBC Youth light welterweight titles.

 

Barnett sees his record go to 14-0-1, 10KO while Miranda drops to 15-2, 8KO.
