For light welterweight Juan Pablo “CheChe” Lopez (17-0, 16KOs), the night of August 28th will be a major one. By participating in the “KO Against Child Cancer” fight card presented by Baja Boxing at Tijuana’s Municipal Auditorium, the undefeated Lopez will not only be helping the Castro Limon Foundation raise funds to combat the disease and provide a better life for the children stricken by it but he will also be headlining his first fight card. Lopez, who is trained by the Don Romulo Quirarte at the CREA Gym, will face Luis Rey Compoa (8-5-1, 5KOs) of San Luis Rio Colorado, MX, in his first ten round scheduled bout.

Campoa has faced the likes of the aforementioned Castillo, Jose Gurrola, Francisco Rios, Rafael Ortiz and Aaron Dominguez and will fight knowing that a win over the undefeated Lopez can only bring good things to his career.
