“I have July 17th reserved and I have extended offers to two different opponents,” Morales (49-6, 34KO) of the Zona Norte of Tijuana recently stated. “We are in the middle of the final talks to have the fight in Tijuana. We are working very hard for the bout to be in Tijuana.”
Morales also mentioned that for whatever reason his second bout in his comeback campaign cannot be held in the border city, it will certainly land in Cancun, MX.
“After some business that I have in Mazatlan next week, I will return to the Otomi Mountains to resume my training,” Morales said. “I have seven more weeks to go to be at weight. I am looking to fight at 140 lbs.”
The two opponents that Morales mentined for his next bout are Australian Lance Gostelow (20-2, 14KO) and former Olympian Vicente Escobedo (22-2, 14KO).
A venue in Tijuana was mentioned for Morales’ bout.
