“Mini” Burgos Ready for Castillo!

The fight card presented by HG Boxing, Thompson Promotions and Banner Promotions on Saturday, May 29th, has made a venue change, it was reported earlier this week.

Now the fight night that is headlined by Tijuana’s Juan Carlos Burgos, Fernando “Wary” Beltran and Tomoki Kameda will now take place at the Tecate Arena of Guadalaja, MX, as part of the Tecate Boxing Tour.

Burgos (24-0, 17KO), who is ranked as the #2 featherweight in the world by the WBC, will face off against the highly experience Ricardo “Piolo” Castillo (38-7-1, 25KO) of Mexicali, MX, in a twelve round elimination bout.  For the last two weeks, Burgos has been training outside his home of Tijuana and instead in Guadalara, MX.

Southpaw “Wary” Beltran (34-3-1, 19KO) of Culiacan, MX, will be facing local favorite Miguel Angel “Ranita” Gonzalez (10-2, 4KO) in a ten round featherweight contest.

Tomoki Kameda (13-0, 11KO)) from the land of the Rising Sun, who is training in Mexico City, will face Javier “Chino” Rodriguez (1-1, 1KO) in a title bout for the WBC CABOFE bantamweight title.

The three bouts will be televised live in Mexico by Televisa.
