Tijuana’s Antonio Margarito (37-6, 27KO) assured that his hunger to return to big fights is genuine and he will not let any fighter stand in his way. Margarito held the floor at the final press conference before his return bout after a year and a half hiatus from the ring. He faces Roberto “La Amenaza” Garcia (28-2, 21KO) this Saturday night in Aguascalientes, MX, in the main event of “Latin Fury 14″.
The fight card will be held at the Plaza Monumental of Aguascalientes as part of the San Marcos Fair and will be televised via PPV in the United States and the Azteca Channel in Mexico.
“Garcia should take advantage of the five minutes of fame he is experiencing because after Saturday night he will go back to anonimity since I will have my hand raised,” the 32-year-old former three time welterweight champion Margarito stated at the dais. “I have much more hunger than you could imagine. I want to return to important fights and nobody is going to stop me, not even Garcia.”
As far as “La Amenaza” Garcia, he took a defiant stance with no fear of the former world champion and he stated that he is ready to ruin the plans of the Tijuana fighter.
