Antonio “Cañitas” Lozada Jr. next bout might come as early as the end of May, again in Tijuana, MX, after his KO win over Colombia’s Henry Aurad last Saturday night where he captured the vacant jr. welterweight WBC FECARBOX title.

Lozada Jr. stated that after this win, he was going to ask his team for continous action to get the experience needed to dispute for a world title.

“Everything has to go step by step. I am happy in winning my first title and to be the main event of a fight card,” Lozada Jr. stated. “I do know now that I need experience. My goal is to be a world champion but that will be in the future. We don’t need to rush ourselves.”

Lozada Jr. also mentioned that he was happy with the response from the Tijuana audience, which totaled almost three thousand at the Palenque in Morelos Park. Antonio Lozada Sr., father and promoter of “Cañitas” said that a rival will be searched for Lozada Jr.’s return to the ring in late May.
