The three time world champion Erik “Terrible” Morales has plans to return to boxing in March.
Morales mentioned that as a comeback rival he would like to face Jose Alfaro of Nicaragua who in his last bout came up short against Antonio DeMarco for the interim WBC lightweight title in November of last year.
“Terrible” is planning on making his comeback on a fight card that his company, Box Latino, will organize.
Alfaro’s managers have been contacted, who are led by Silvio Conrado Jr., and he is hoping for a response soon so that he can begin his training. The bout might be at a catch weight of 142 lbs.
Morales has not fought since 2008 when he was defeated by David Diaz in a lightweight bout.
