It has been confirmed exclusively to SDFights.com that super featherweight Marvin “Cachorro” Quintero of Tijuana, MX, will fight on the under card of the Valero-DeMarco WBC lightweight championship fight on February 6th in Monterrey, MX. Quintero (18-2, 14KO) will be facing hometown favorite and once beaten Luis “Tribi” Gonzalez (14-1-1, 8KO) of Monterrey.
¨Cachorro¨suffered his second loss in his career in July of last year when he was stopped on ShoBox:The Next Generation by Tyrone Harris in the eight round of a scheduled ten. Since Quintero stopped in two rounds Tyler Ziolkowski this past December and before that, a one round demolition of veteran Walter Estrada
Gonzalez dropped his lone defeat in his last bout in the Mexico City at the hands of Saul Carreon. The Quintero-Gonzalez lightweight bout is scheduled for eight rounds.
