Cristobal “Lacandon” Cruz of Tijuana, MX by way of Chiapas will once again fight in front of his hometown of Tuxtla Gutierrez when he defends his IBF featherweight title against Ricardo “Piolo” Castillo on December 19th.
The Cruz-Castillo bout was originally slated for October in Tijuana, MX, but Cruz called it off. Castillo is trained in Tijuana by Romulo Quirarte.
Ricardo’s brother, the two time lightweight champion Jose Luis Castillo will also fight on the 19th but in Cancun and will also be trained by Romulo Quirarte
