Super featherweight Marvin Quintero (16-2, 12KO) comes back to the squared circle after his devastating loss earlier this year to Ty Harris in a bout that was televised by Showtime‘s ShoBox:The Next Generation telecast. Quintero, who trains under the watchful eye of Don Romulo Quirarte and his sons Bobby and Roberto at the CREA gym in Tijuana, MX, hurt his left hand in the bout.
Last week, the southpaw Quintero was released to fight by a a physician and now will face TBA in a six round 130 lbs. bout.
This will be Quintero’s fifth doubt in the United States.
His gym mate, WBC #1 ranked lightweight Antonio DeMarco will be facing Jose Alfaro of Nicaragua for the interim WBC lightweight title in the semi main event of the bout while in the main, IBF bantamweight champion Joseph Agbeko will defend his title against Yohnny Perez.
Both bouts will be televised internationally by Showtime.
