Roberto “Mako” Leyva (26-9, 21KO) recently stated that he was very happy at the opportunity to challenge the Panamenian Luis “Nica” Concepcion (18-1, 13KO) for the interim WBA flyweight title on November 19th at the Roberto Duran Arena in Panama City, Panama. Leyva conceded that this might be one of the last fights of his career and for that reason, he is preparing himself 100%.
“I am going to Panama ready to bring the belt back to Mexico,” the former champion stated. “I am going to force my experience on him because Concepcion has never faced a fighter of my caliber and although he has beaten my fellow countrymen such as Juan Esquer and Omar salado, I am not worried.”
Leyva confessed in viewing some of Concepcion’s past fights and admires his boxing ability.
