Super flyweight David “Flecha” Gaspar will make his return to Tijuana on Friday, October 3rd at the Municipal Auditorium in a fight card promoted by Eric Morales’ Box Latino.
The fight night will be a special occasion since the proceeds will benefit Tijuana’s DIF, the department for the benefit of the family, and whose idea was of Andrea Mora, wife of the former champion Erik “Terrible” Morales.
Gaspar (11-2-1, 7KO) reached Tijuana today from his home in Los Angeles to finish up his camp. His opponent will be the hard hitting jesus Vazquez (18-2-1, 16KO) of Sinaloa who counts among his victims the ex national champion Jovanny “Bambino” Soto.
In his last appearance in the ring, “Flecha” clearly dominated San Diego’s Sergio Espinoza, dropping him twice in the six round bout at the Nokia Theatre in Hollywood last month.
Gaspar and Vazquez will be battling for a super flyweight regional title which will be confirmed later this week.
Also featured on the fight card will be Felipe Salguero vs. Jesus Venancio in a eight round flywieight bout, featherweight Sergio “Mickey” Lopez vs. the always dangerous TBA in a six rounder, super lightweights Javier Gomez and Gabriel will have it out in a scheduled four round fight while David De La Tua takes on Guillermo Garcia, also in a four round lightweight contest. Mario “Mac” Padilla will face Daniel Lopez in another four round lightweight fight and Adan Osuna will match skills versus Luis Vargas in a bantamweight four rounder.
