The WBC female flyweight champion Mariana Juarez and her Venezuelan challenger Carolina Alvarez recently complied with the pre weigh in required by the WBC for their championship bout this Saturday night in Tijuana, MX.
With the presence of physician Jose Manuel Covarrubias, each fighter weighed in at 113 lbs, only one pound over the flyweight limit.
Mariana and Carolina, who are of the same height, were weighed at the Erik Morales gym in the Zona Norte of Tijuana, MX, where the bout will take place which is entitled “El Reto (The Challenge)”.
Juarez, who is known as “Barbie”, has a record of 20 wins, nine by KO against 5 losses and three draws while “Fiera” Alvarez holds a ledger of nine wins with 4 of them by KO against two losses and one draw.
Juarez will be defending for the first time the title she conquered with her defeat of Irma “Guerita” Sanchez earlier this year.
