“Perla Negra” Returns this Saturday Night!

perlanegra1After seeing the success his two sons, the former world champions Erik and Diego, have had as boxing promoters, Jose “Olivaritos” Morales will present his first fight card this Saturday night at the Municipal Auditorium of Tijuana, MX, in association with the city’s Municipal Institute of Sport.

“I have been working on the fight card for a month and I hope that the local boxing audience enjoys it,” Jose Morales stated.

Juan Luis Hernandez (13-2-1, 8kO), better known as “Black Pearl”, will be featured in the main event of the fight card trading leather with the Tijuana native will be Hugo Jimnez (12-1) of Mexicali, MX, in a ten round bantamweight bout.

“The Tijuana fans is going to enjoy all that ‘Black Pearl’ has to offer, he will be in the best shape of his career,” Kid Melo, Hernandez’s manager, promised.

Hernandez is looking for a rematch with Carlos Rueda of Nicaragua who last year defeated Hernandez with a blistering KO which broke the jaw of the “Black Pearl”

“If he wins on Saturday, we want to go after Arturo Badillo, Javier Gallo or Panchito Arce and then challenge Rueda,” Kid Melo stated.

Also featured on the card will be Tijuana’s Javier “Cobra” Mendoza taking on Hiata Galaviz of Agua Prieta in a six round jr. flyweight bout as well Javier “Pelon” Gomez facing Rene Hernandez, both from Tijuana, in a scheduled six rounder at lightweight.

Three other bouts round out the card.
