A source close to the bout revealed exclusively to SDFights.com that former WBO welterweight champion Carlos “Indio” Quintana of Puerto Rico is off the scheduled main event for this Friday night against Danny Perez (34-5, 17KO) of San Diego.
The bout was to be featured on ESPN‘s Friday Night Fights.
According to BoxRec.com, a new opponent has been slated to face Perez, Carlos Molina of Chicago.
Molina (16-4-1, 5KO) is best known to have been the only man to draw with the Son of a Legend, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in 2005.
Chavez Jr. avenged the draw soon there after.
No word if the bout taking place in Miami will still be televised.
