According to FightNews.com in a surprise upset, late sub Carlos Molina (17-4-1, 5KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over Danny Perez (34-6, 17 KOs) to claim the NABO 154-pound belt on Friday night at the Mahi Shrine Temple in Miami, Florida. Molina, who took the fight on six days’ notice, brought the fight to Perez from the opening stanza and outworked the former world title challenger all the way. Scores were 118-110, 119-109, 119-109. Perez originally was supposed to meet former world champion Carlos Quintana.
