Tijuana’s Erik “Terrible” Morales will not be alone in his return to a boxing ring. He will count with the unyielding support of the World Boxing Council as he makes a run for his fourth divisional title.
In a communique from the WBC, the organization stated “Erik has earned the support because he is one of the best fighters from our country (the WBC is located in Mexico). We care for him and we suggest for him not to return to the ring because their is no need. We will not stand in his way, besides the rules are on his side and we cannot stop him from trying to win the title but we do ask that he consciously try to lose the weight.”
The WBC also commented that Morales has stated that in his return he would like to face a high ranked fighter.
