“Too Slick” Johnson To Fight On Friday Night Fights!

ernestjohnsonIt has just been revealed exclusively to SDFights.com that local lightweight/junior welterweight and SDFights.com #7 Ernest “Too Slick” Johnson will be fighting on the semi main event bout on ESPN2′s Friday Night Fights from Atlantic City, NJ.

Johnson’s opponent will be Jorge Luis Terron of the Bronx, NY.  The once beaten Terron (22-1-1, 15KO) is coming off his first professional loss at the hands of unheralded Alto Valtierra via a ten round majority decision late last year.

The 6’0″ tall Terron, 23, owns wins over the tough Michel Lozada and Sandro Marcos.

Chula Vista’s Johnson (18-3-1, 7KO) gave a respectable performance against former undisputed junior welterweight champion “Super” Zab Judah in his last bout on the Calzaghe-Jones Jr. PPV undercard succumbing to a ten round unanimous decision in November of last year.

the main event on ESP2 will be former heavyweight contender Monte Barrett (34-7, 20KO) taking on up and coming prospect Kevin Johnson (21-0-1, 8KO) in a ten round affair.

The Johnson-Terron bout is scheduled for eight rounds and will mark the second San Diego fighter that will be fighting on ESPN2 this summer.
