The night of March 28th served as a great stage for Tijuana to show off one of its new prospects according to the hispanic web portal NotiFight.com who just named the lightweight undefeated KO artist Antonio “Cañitas” Lozada Jr. as their prospect of the month of March.
Lozada went the full six rounds against the tough Tomas “El Fantasma” Sierra in convincing fashion to earn the accolade.
the eighteen year old Lozada is the son of Antonio “Cañas” Lozada, former fighter and now manager of WBC super featherweight champion Humberto “Zorrita” Soto among others.
“Cañitas” who was named the 2007 provincial rookie of the year by the Mexico City boxing commission has an excellent KO percentage with 16 out of 19 total bouts and measuring 5’10″, has what it takes to make a name for himself in the lightweight division.
His sixteen knockouts were consecutive since his debut in 2006.
