Eight months have not been enough to forget the way that Carlos Rueda of Nicaragua got up from the canvas twice to win in TIjuana, MX, where this Saturday he hopes to take the “0″ from another undefeated local boxer.
Rueda (11-3, 10KO) was at the press conference organized by Box Latino to announce the fight card “The Revenge” in which the central American KO artist will try to slow down the rise of David “Flecha” Gaspar.
“The KO has to be made, you know that I have a lot of dynamite in my fists so get ready to see a great fight,” “El Rapido” said who today landed from Managua with his trainer Roger Rivas and his manager Marcelo Sanchez in tow.
Rueda thanked the public and Box Latino for giving him the opportunity once again to perform in Tijuana where in August of 2008 he defeated Juan Luis Hernandez by TKO.
“I don’t think he will be able to take away my undefeated status, I will win because I have had a gotten in great physical condition,” David Gaspar (11-0-1, 7KO) stated.
In case Gaspar is able to get past Rueda, he more than likely will be set up against Luis “Perla Negra” Hernandez since both are promoted by Box Latino. Although whichever might be the result between Gaspar and Rueda, the rematch between Hernadez and the Central American Rueda is already in the works.
“Perla Negra” Hernandez (12-2-1, 8KO) will also appear on the April 4th fight card at El Foro Threatre in downtown Tijuana, MX. His opponent will be Alejandro “Timon” Martinez who is undefeated and was not present at the press conference.
Also on featured on the fight card will be fifteen year old Andres “Jaguarcito” Gutierrez of Queretaro who holds a record of 4-0, 3KO. Gutierrez fought last February 21st in Rosarito where he knocked out Juan Manuel Armendariz in two rounds.
Jorge Silva, Victor Capaceta and Felipe Salguero will also appear on the card.
The weigh in ceremony will be this Friday in the offices of the Tijuana Boxing Comission located next to the Municipal Auditorium in Tijuana, MX.
