“Cachorro” Quintero on Shobox, “Morita” In First Fight in U.S.!

quinteroIt was revealed to SDFights.com exclusively by Bobby Quirarte of the CREA boxing gym that super featherweight and SDFights.com ranked #10 Marvin “Cachorro” Quintero (20-1, 12KO) will be making his second consecutive appearance on Showtime‘s Shobox:The Next Generation broadcast on Friday May 1st from the Chumash Cashino in Santa Ynez, CA.

The southpaw’s opponent will be Wes Fergurson (20-3-1, 6KO) of Las Vegas, NV, by way of Flint, MI.

Tijuana’s Quintero is coming off a very impressive first showing on the telecast when he stopped the overmatched Nick Casal in the third round of a scheduled eight last January 16th.

Fergurson stopped Derrick Moon a day later in sixth round of a scheduled eight in his last bout.  The Quintero-Fergurson super featherweight crossroads bout is scheduled for eight rounds also.

Also making an appearance on the non televised portion of the card will be hard hitting David De La Mora (15-0, 11KO) in his first fight in the United States.  The undefeated “Morita” will be facing the always tough TBA in a six round super flyweight bout.
